At the BAD 2026 meeting, new analyses from BADBIR highlighted the value of real-world evidence in answering clinically important questions in psoriasis care. The data explored serious infection risk across systemic treatments, the potential benefits of using biologics earlier in the treatment pathway, and risk factors for incident and recurrent erythrodermic psoriasis. Together, these findings demonstrate how registry data can complement clinical trial evidence by providing insights from routine clinical practice and helping to inform more personalized treatment decisions.

Web Address: PeDRA Website

The Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance (PeDRA) is a nonprofit research network dedicated to advancing science in the field of pediatric dermatology. PeDRA provides a platform for collaboration, centralized resources to support research, grants and fellowships funding, education, and more in support of its mission to create, inspire, and sustain research to prevent, treat, and cure childhood skin diseases. Pooling resources and linking investigators through PeDRA multiplies the power of each individual clinician, scientist, patient, or partner many-fold. With more than 1,000 members representing more than 200 institutions and many stakeholder communities, PeDRA is accelerating research and bringing us closer to new treatment opportunities for children and families living with dermatologic conditions and diseases.

PeDRA was formed in 2012 by leaders from the Society for Pediatric Dermatology (SPD), with the goal of bringing together pediatric dermatologists from across North America to collaborate on research that would never be accomplished on a meaningful timescale were any investigator to take it on alone. Having evolved significantly since its early days, PeDRA is generating meaningful data to support health care decisions and improve the lives of patients and their families, while building a community of linked and research-ready clinician scientists and other collaborators in the field of pediatric dermatology. Central to this effort is the PeDRA Annual Conference, which brings together investigators, patients, and partners to share knowledge, strengthen collaborations, and inspire future research.

PeDRA is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and is committed to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion across all facets of its organization, programs, committees, leadership, and research studies.
