The European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) is a non-profit organisation active in the field of allergic and immunologic diseases such as asthma, rhinitis, eczema, occupational allergy, food and drug allergy and anaphylaxis. EAACI was founded in 1956 in Florence and has become the largest medical association in Europe in the field of allergy and clinical immunology. It includes over 10,000 academicians, research investigators and clinicians from 122 countries, as well as over 60 national and international member societies. As the leading European medical society focusing on allergy, EAACI has a key role to play in the formulation of public health and research policies at a European level. In recent years EAACI has led major public awareness campaigns on allergy and asthma, developed a series of public declarations and policy recommendations on specific advocacy topics (e.g. Immunotherapy, Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis), with the aim to drive political change.

EAACI is Europe’s primary source of expertise for medical professionals specialised in allergy and clinical immunology. Acting as an educational and knowledge sharing network for over 10’000 members and 122 national societies, its activities are in place to provide a better quality of life for some 150 Million people living with allergies in the European Union. The EAACI Annual Congress is the most pivotal activity EAACI provides to the field of allergy, and the world’s largest congress of its kind.
